OKYEREMA Angry At ''Self Made'' Title Holders...
I think the music industry this year, got more competition and challenges than other years since artists put self acclaimed titles on themselves... Everybody seems to be a KING or THE BEST at what they do. Im not saying I have a problem with this but we kinda have too many captains in one ''SHIP'' which is making this ''SHIP'' difficult to sail smoothly.

With all the drama that went on at the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards and and the aftermath; artists releasing singles to address fellow artists and others attacking Charter House and so on... I agree music should be the most convenient platform to address pressing issues if you want to get to the masses faster... Which is why using that medium to express one's feeling is generally accepted... After all, its a free country and we  have our freedom of speech!

Just a while ago, OKYEREMA of the AshantiMonkfunk wrote a very controversial status on facebook and I quote...

''LISTEN: If you call yaself a Shatta, Gangsta, Singerholic, Rapperholic, Executor, Kneega or Wacksta; OKYEREMA dey come collect FAT dues from y'All SOON and go back to UNDERGROUND where HE BELONGS. I've been UNDERGROUND watching the game for soo long. It is time to step in and get HIPLIFE back on track. I dey come "kwashey" all these self-made-title holders and TEACH them how it is done! Who says he is the King?''

OKYEREMA has been one of the Toughest underground artists way back and after reading this, I kinda feel he got something under his sleeves... There is a saying in our local language that ''If a blind man says he will hit you with a stone, then you should know he got his foot on one already''

When he was addressed as the KING of the underground by a fan, he replied "I can only accept the king's title if ma people crown me as the King. I can't take by-force. I dont even want to be called a king. I am a Master Teacher (RABBI).Kings loose their Crowns but Teachers stay Intelligent"

Lets see what will come out of this... But one thing I can promise ya'll though! The Music Industry In Ghana Dey Come Bee K3k3!!
