Shankoma - Beware (Prod. by @RealHypeLyrix) @Shankomagh

Shankoma - Beware (Prod. by @RealHypeLyrix) @Shankomagh
This is to let the world know that the king of Akuapem Rap is back in the game.. Currently under the management of flo-net entertainment, SHANKOMA drops this amazing mixtape to let fans have a good expectation on what is coming out after this...

Shankoma and Ragoon - SOMALIA TO GHANA (Refugees) @ShankomaGH + @GoonBossman

Shankoma and Ragoon - Somalia to Ghana (Refugees)
With the on going crisis in Somalia, talk of pirates and the Al-Shabaab fighters...Shankoma and Ragoon Beatz took time to compose a song educating the world about the need for peace demonstrating to the rest of Africa how peaceful Ghana is and welcoming to all neighboring countries closer or afar but then also they stressed on poverty driven lifestyle in Ghana despite peace and harmony.

This song is very classic, thoughtful and interesting. I hope you get a feel of it and drop your comments, lets help preach peace in Africa and fight against poverty. Shankoma is truly a legend when its comes to creative rap and Akuapem Rap in a whole whiles Ragoon Beatz on the other hand too delivers wild punchlines and did massively well producing the beat for this song.

Interview: Dealer Roll Talks About ''Obidi Your Warning''

A couple of weeks ago, two young men sent us a track to be posted on LoudSoundGH titled ''Obidi Your Warning'' A lot of people attacked us and asked us questions we could not answer. To make it simple, we got hold of Dealer Roll who made the track and featured Shankoma. Unfortunately, we could not get both of them for the interview. This is the conversation we had with Dealer Roll...

LoudSoundGH: Good evening sir

DEALER ROLL: Good evening

LoudSoundGH: Thanks for responding to our interview request.

DEALER ROLL: You are welcome

LoudSoundGH: I will just hit the nail straight on the head... About a week ago we received a track title "Obidi Your Warning"... We you referring to Sarkodie the rapper?

DEALER ROLL: That's right... straight up beef alert

LoudSoundGH: Do you have a personal beef with Sarkodie? Or you just decided to attack him because you probably don't like him?

DEALER ROLL: I don't have personal beef with him neither do I hate him but the fact is i have lyrical beef with him as an artist in Ghana,he must learn to edit his lyrics and respect those he came to meet in the game rather than stepping on every body's toes and am stepping up to tell him that there are people in Ghana that can battle him.

LoudSoundGH: So all you were trying to do is to advice him to know what he should say in his rap and what he should not say?

DEALER ROLL: Not only that but to tell him to get prepared because the two kings are coming for him(Dealer Roll & Shankoma)

LoudSoundGH: In your rap, you sounded a bit personal... You said something about when he started as a broke rapper and he owes shankoma some money... Are they just lyrics or real talk?

DEALER ROLL: I have seen sarkodie & some artist i don't to mention his name beggin money from shankoma after we have finished rapping on(Kasahare) hosted by Dr Duncun that time on Adom fm 106.3 so trust me every lyrics in that song has real meaning in normal life...

LoudSoundGH: Why did you choose to attack him through music? Is that the only option you had to tell him your mind and how you feel about his songs and lyrics?

DEALER ROLL: Because music i think is the best way to send any message across the world moreover that is the medium he also uses to disrespect his fellow artist in Ghana...

LoudSoundGH: Ok... So do you think attacking someone like Sarkodie in a track might affect your career as an upcoming artist? Because there is no doubt he got a lot of fans nationwide and worldwide. Do u think think that might affect you as an upcoming artist?

DEALER ROLL: Not at all because according to the response am getting seems like most people  are happy that finally somebody has been able to talk sense into him i have even been commended by a very top artist Ghana because of this song.

LoudSoundGH: Do u mind mentioning the Top Artist who condemned you?

DEALER ROLL: I don't want to mention his name for reasons best known to me u will get to hear him because he has requested to ride on the same beat...

LoudSoundGH: Oh ok... You mean the artist condemned Sarkodie too?

DEALER ROLL: Yea... Seems like most artist want to bring out sound to tell him their mind i think this one has open the door for them...

LoudSoundGH: So you are the pace setter I must say... And are you hoping he replies back or u don't really care if he replies or not?

DEALER ROLL: He can choose to do whatever what's really matters to me was the message getting to him and has got to him so that's all...

LoudSoundGH: Who brought the whole Idea of making the song "Obidi Your Warning" ? I'm asking this because more of the things was said in favor of Shankoma...

DEALER ROLL: The whole concept was mine but the fact is Obidi has got scores to settle with Shankoma which he must do something about it fast before he fades out of the system...
I don't want to pin point it because sarkodie knows what am talking about u can ask him what he told me when we met @ Gimpa @ 50

LoudSoundGH: Do you mind telling me what he told you at Gimpa @ 50?

DEALER ROLL: I will only tell the world through music if he replies the warning...

LoudSoundGH: And if he does not reply, it remains a secret?

DEALER ROLL: Yes because i don't want shankoma hear; but if he replies then it means he's ready 4 war but not peace.

LoudSoundGH: Was what he told you about Shankoma?

DEALER ROLL: Yes...Which i know will provoke shankoma to confront him.

LoudSoundGH: I guess the whole beef is more personal than just an advice to him about his lyrical content.
Or I'm wrong about that?

DEALER ROLL: I think the song speaks louder.

LoudSoundGH: Ok... So I will just end the conversation here and we might call on u again when you have some more time.

DEALER ROLL: You are welcome big up Hype lyix,Teekay, old sodja,Shankoma, kwaata,Dunsin and all PMG music group,Ghanaians should watchout for new single titled (Taking Over)bless!!!!!!! Still king of the mountains!

LoudSoundGH: Thank you for being with us sir...

DEALER ROLL: You are most welcome...

Beef Alert: Dealeroll - OBIDI YOUR WARNING (Ft. Shankoma)

So I just got this exclusive tune from Dealeroll Featuring Shankoma and they call this one ''OBIDI YOUR WARNING'' I cant confirm if the song is directed to Sarkodie; but listening to the lyrics, I have every reason to say Dealeroll and Shankoma are talking directly to Obidi Pon Bidi (Sarkodie). Lyrics like ''Money no be problem, wo die tua Shankoma ka'' which means If he says Money is not a problem, he should pay Shakoma what he owes him... And we all know ''Money No Be Problem'' is Sarkodie's slogan... Download and listen to analyze yourself... Leave your comments as well!!

UPCLOSE WITH SHANKOMA (@Shankomagh)

When Hiplife existed in Ghana, it was mainly in twi. But as time went on, other dialects came in; such as Ga, Frafra, Ewe and a whole lot more! But Akuapem rap was not so common those days. Lets throw that spotlite on Shankoma who has been a true Akuapem rapper and still hold on to that special style of rapping... Aside Pope Skinny and Shankoma, I seem not to recognize any good Akuapem rapper in the Ghanaian music industry...

He goes by the name Nana Boafo-Ntifo Alfred also popularly known as SHANKOMA... The talented young rapper was born at Mampong Akuapem; but comes from Akropong Akuapem where he can proudly call his hometown. He started his basic education at Radiantway Preparatory school in Accra. Went through it all and decided to go back home for his secondary education... He was Admitted in Okuapemman School in Akropong Akuapem and he completed successfully.

Shankoma's greatest hobbies were sketching and painting, Playing basketball, soccer and table tennis. His love for sports made him participated in them anytime he had the chance and he did play for his school soccer team. Even after school, soccer is something he cant do away with. He still play soccer for fun and at the same time to help him keep fit. His childhood days at the Mampong Nurses Quarters was an interesting one for him since he could engage in most of his hobbies... His Mother worked at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital as a nurse. Shankoma had much interest in dancing and also listening to music. The 2 always seems to go together. As a teenager, those seem to take away the greater part of his life.

Unlike most of us, Shankoma had a very good grandmother who taught him good values and principles which someone from a royal home should know. I must say Shankoma is blessed to be part of the royal family... ''In short I will say my early childhood days was full of fun but on a more serious note I was clever with books as well just had to divert from that when I grew up which I regret sometimes.'' He says...

He always loved listening to inspirational music and ones with good lyrics with Nas being his favorite back then. He did say he likes Hip Hop, R&B, UK Funky and HipLife (real HipLife back in those days).
He realized he could do serious music when he completed J.S.S as it was called back then but now known as (Junior High) ...
His cousin Gideon returned from Suhum to Amanokrom (where his dad comes from) after completing S.S.S and had this rap book full of punchlines and was giving wicked but funny rhymes... as he described it. He always listened to him and got so inspired which prompted him to approach him to write a rhyme for him to perform at an event but unfortunately he was turned down ''Politely'' Shankoma had no choice but to master Reggie Rockstone's "Keep your eyes on the road" lyrics which he could not even learn all the verses but the first verse and some parts of the second verse.
''I returned home disappointed and told my cousin for what he did to me I was going to take music serious and prove a point to him which he just laughed, so I started putting rhymes down basically anything that came in mind whether it rhymed or made sense. I realized I couldn't present those rhymes to my cousin because he will still laugh at me'' he said laughing...

When he got to S.S 1 at Okuapemman he had the chance to perform the very first week at entertainment night with one song he wrote back then "Ohiani Asem Y3ya" The chorus caught everyone's attention and the name Shankoma right from there, together with the chorus remained on most students mind. He was doing his own thing now with confidence and style since he realized the students accepted and embraced his talent.

In S.S 2 he met Pope Skinny and the joined forces to become group, and they had the biggest opportunity to be on Adom FM 106.3 every Saturday night with Dr. Duncan who hosted Kasahari Level those days... (Pope Skinny is the host of that radio show now). The dream of becoming a recognized rapper was getting real and this got him so excited! He could not wait to show off to his cousin back at home. His cousin was surprised the young man who wanted to borrow lines from him some few weeks back is now the people;s choice all across Akuapem. "I told you I will do it and I have now who is the boss" he told his cousin with that teasing tone...

Shankoma's music inspiration started with Nas, then his cousin Gideon who was in a group called Hungry Dogs, then Obrafour, Nkasei, Obie Trice, Eminem, KRS One, Method Man & Redman. He confessed every song on "Stillmatic" by Nas was his favorite. ''I tell you what, Nas still inspires me but most of all Obrafour the Executioner inspires me the more'' he says...

Shankoma featured artists like Kwaw Kese, Screw Face, Danso Abiam, Quata and Flexy who he said are featured on his album those days...
''But one major artist now I worked with back then and got to feature on his album is Sarkodie, he was my man until now I dont know whats up.'' he said with a pretty heavy heart...

Shankoma sees himself flying everywhere and even across the shores Ghana with his music, get awards and all the good things a good artist like Shankoma deserves...

We are supporting Shankoma to take Akuapem rap international and make us proud. He needs your support too... Support good music and support Shankoma!!

His all time favorite back in those days tunes were Wofr3 Ne D3n and School Boy (feat Kwaw Kesse), All two songs were produced by 2Toff (Nature) Download Wofr3 Ne D3n below...
