We have decided to have a chat with him and know more about him, his career and also the plans he got in the coming years.... And to those who heard about him but dont know much about him, can also use this opportunity to get closer to the producer... Below is the conversation....
LSGH: Tell Us a bit about yourself...
J Hit Maker: Joshua Nii Kwetey Narh is my real name, born and raised within a respected and humble family of five in Accra, Ghana. Will be turning 31, 2nd August. Went to Star Avenue school (same Junior High School with Irene Logan), completed Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (Presec), Legon in 2000 and IPMC too I did finish my last study. Am into Music and IT. First started music production as Juice Beatz (discovered there's already one later), then i rebranded my name to J HitMaker. But artistes know me as Juice. Am always cheerful, calm and very sociable.
LSGH: How did your career begin as a music producer?
J Hit Maker: Spending 60% of my life to have a better view and understanding of music, i started making beats for a friend (also my mentor) in St. Augustine's (Benard Ocran) when i was 10 yrs, with a keyboard dad bought for me. We recorded directly unto a radio cassette. It was fun so we went on to record with his voice which he used on stage in school.
In 2004, Christian Lokko (a cousin, artiste and cook) brought to my attention a software for making beats and recording. I got it from Leslie Narh, my little brother, tried it and that's when i started getting familiar with digital music cos it had everything wanted in the software. That's how i started.
LSGH: who was the first artiste you ever recorded?
J Hit Maker: B-Flame
LSGH: How many top artists have you worked with?
J Hit Maker: Kesse. He was featured on track called Let You Go from Garlingos which i produced.
LSGH: Which recording session will you describe as ''Memorable'' through your entire career?
J Hit Maker: Recording Session with Prof Deen also called 'theHausaRapperMania', D-Flex and Khemikazy. 2 tracks recorded that same night; Judgement Day (Khemikazy ft. D-Flex) and Sonki (Prof Deen ft. D-Flex)
LSGH: How many years have you been working as a music producer?
J Hit Maker: Almost 9 years; my works started becoming fruitful in 2010 when i released The Free Grand 50 (beats) online. www.reverbnation.com/jhitmaker It attracted lots of artistes around the world.
LSGH: What is your speciality?
J Hit Maker: Hiphop, Dancehall, Hiplife, Pop........hahaha my own genres too.
LSGH: Which Ghanaian artiste are you hoping to work with? (Underground or Famous)
J Hit Maker: Sarkodie, i prefer for now
LSGH: What are your challenges as a music producer?
J Hit Maker: When an artiste walks in, sing or rap the same way as another artiste making it in the music industry. Most don't listen to advice and I continue asking myself what he or she wants. Music from such artistes are turned down by most music lovers around the world because of this.
LSGH: What inspires you to do music?
J Hit Maker: Everything that happens around me, everything I see that is yet to happen I put into my music and develop something different…..making history I mean. Hahaha. U know I always believe the world will be very boring if everything was perfect.
LSGH: What plans do you have for the future? Maybe in the next 5 years?
J Hit Maker: Am looking forward to work with prominent artistes and collaborate with other music producers all around the world,
build a world class studio for recording and teaching audio and video production,
invest into the oil industry,
engage into estate developing,
promote good music that will attract investors into my company,
establish an IT firm,
open a foundation,
own shares in different companies,
open a child care center,
and win a Grammy.
LSGH: Do you have any advice for the upcoming artists?
J Hit Maker: Originality comes from within. Develop your own skill and make history.
Don't envy, don't discriminate what you hear from other artistes.
Just do your thing, and do it well.

J Hit Maker: Many thanks to God above, my lovely parents i always pray will live to enjoy the fruits of their labour, my siblings (Claudia and Leslie) who are also very supportive, my fiancee.
